Please be aware that it has come to our attention that several cases of "phishing" have been reported to the bank.
Phishing is an internet scam, where via email, attempts are made to obtain personal information such as your account number, social security number or personal identification number. In some instances a scam email will ask you to respond to the email to confirm your account information or to renew your account records. In others you will be asked to click on a link provided in the email to update your records.
CapitalSouth Bank will never request personal financial information from our clients via email. You will always be contacted directly if any information is needed as it pertains to your account.
