6/2/2006 - CapitalSouth Bancorp Named to America's Community Bankers Index

BIRMINGHAM, AL - June 2, 2006 - CapitalSouth Bancorp (NASDAQ/NM: CAPB) was chosen yesterday to be listed on the America's Community Bankers NASDAQ Index beginning June 1, 2006.  The index represents a broad array of community bank stocks that are listed on NASDAQ and was created to bring visibility to community banks.  The index can be found under the symbol ACBQ.
